Hadn't been there for a while, and this BCNH gave me such performance.

He opened his beak and feel the water, not sure whether he was baiting some how. No way to be able to see through duck weed.

Is the Pewee feeding a cowbird baby?! :-[ :-[ :-[ it only occurs to me now. I spent so much time in the dim lighted wood path to catch him feeding.  >:( >:(

I know they can't show expressions, but that does chipmunk look disappointed?

Third trip to search for the yellow crowned night heron. Still no. Even though I found the concealed the BCNH and saw a pair of mating Monarch, and not to mention the Muskrat just walks in front of me. This Juvi BCNH was not concealed ;D

View discretion!
The birds were sounding alarms at the young cooper. But why was I surprised to discover the most complicated alarms were from a Mocking bird?!

I think Ally meant to say ... "good". She is just too polite. I envy her as well. Then again, I envy anyone with furlough. Some day, Ally will be in two parks ... at the same time! By then, even Dinu will need to 'up' is game. Do the Olympics have a point-and-shoot competition? Alas no, although Canada would do well, I wager.

The knowledge you taught does stick some time. I recognized that was a Black crowned night heron juvi in no time. I searched a full circle of that pond and was thinking: Really? No chance for the yellowed crowned night heron, then a brownish big bird showed up. You can imagine how my hope went right up and then straight down. The juvi was still cute and all.
