I have been wanting to find one of these for a number of years now, never around where I go.... but today I found not 1, but 2 species of them, good day but stink-en HOT outside!
Hummingbird moths- Clearwing & Snowberry, Hamilton, Urquhart Butterfly Garden
aka..flying shrimp and big fat bubblebee

Wow, how lovely. Flying shrimp, that's so cute!

A trip to Riverwood this morning and saw 3 more Hummingbird moths, one flew thru but 2 put on a good showing

This one really looks like a shrimp! Nice pic indeed.

I waited for an hour, and he came! Thanks Dave, he came to the plant you told me.

Very nice captures of this uncommon species. Extra applause for your effort in making the trip to add this moth to your portfolio. Many would have been too lazy to make the sortie. Obviously Ally has zoom-zoom.

Thank you. Funny thing was, when I was taking picture, I hear one girl saying to her friend: he asked me, do you want to see a moth that looks like a hummingbird? I was like, I can ask you that now! But I didn't want to miss the opportunity with the moth.
When I was there, I saw this bunny. His expression was: Yes, I'm stealing. No, I'm not sorry.
Some red dragon I don't know.

Glad you got to see one, i am still going thru my shots

I love it! "Still going through my shots". Stated like a real pro.
