Title: Seems familiar, but...

There is the occasional bird that seems familiar but for whatever reason the ID eludes me. This is one from a few days ago in Toronto. Could be my dotage. I thought Pine Warbler, but that doesn't seem right. Any help would be appreciated.

Hahaha, shall I say it? Indigo Bunting female.


I laugh because someone said I see Indiho Bunting a lot!

It really was a senior's moment. It's not that I haven't seen Indigo Buntings in the area--I just didn't make the connection.

I can appreciate your confusion after an entire year has past since having to think about immature migratory warblers. Seeing a tough one right off the bat is daunting. Sometimes a verio can look like a warbler. The beak seems large on your photo. An immature Pine warbler is certainly possible because they breed here. Bay-breasted are usually later and im. Blackpoll much later.
