that I saw a golden eagle at my home (West Grey -- suburbs of the village of Ayton)? I pulled out of my driveway and disturbed a large bird feeding on a road killed deer...my reflex was TV and then I realized it wasn't (head / feathers)...I then defaulted to immature BE but there was no white on it anywhere and the feathers around head caught my eye....kind of a bronze sheen to it...hard to explain...I didn't get a great look b/c I was on my way somewhere and by the time the argument in my head got so loud that I contemplated turning around just to shut the voices up, I was too far.....sooooo.....any chance one of the clowns in my head is right?

Dunno about your sighting sir but today all the way back home from the Township of Tiny to mid, Halton there were large groups/Kettles of birds soaring.
I Just assumed they were Turkey Vultures.

uggh they've started already? For me the TV's are the harbingers of spring and winter....as I get older, it's becoming clearer that there are 3 seasons...NOT 4....spring summer and winter....summer is the shortest season...ending at some point in late August.

Wait...you're saying it's POSSIBLE....but that it would be a migratory bird....I guess that makes sense...I hadn't really thought of the point in the season we were at....I was jumping on hey we have GE's too! (We have a number of BE's around here now.)
-
Possible, but very unlikely, as GE generally don't migrate until end of October and November.

I'm gonna mark it down in my book as a sighting then lol
