Lots of birds in the meadows today.  Highlights included a pair of Turkey Vultures playing tag, an American Bittern, a pair of Common Nighthawks with one stooping and dive bombing the other, two pairs of Eastern Bluebirds, a solitary Scarlet Tanager, many Tree Swallows nesting in the bird boxes and actively hunting over the ponds, many Goldfinch pairs, many Eastern Kingbird pairs, a single Yellow Bellied Flycatcher with many heard singing at twighlight, and finally what appeared to be the resident Green Heron flying down towards the main marsh at dusk.
