Installed Ground-above-my-feet again and it has attracted a few of the usual visitors, including a brief appearance by WT sparrow and Field sparrow. A RB nuthatch also landed on the platform but was then spooked and never returned.

Cool! Can I say this bird is also on the verge of crying?

Awesome photo - birds tend to pose for you.

This is a very conservative gated-community where conformity and respectable behavior is de rigueur. Only the most well behaved birds make it in here. Now, I know what you must be thinking … how in hell did I get in here? A fair question. Well, I used to treat a chap that knows a chick that is friends with a dude who has a key-pass. Even then, entry was via dark moonless conditions while wearing a ninja suit (not mine) and the result is that I find myself incarcerated in this sober neighbourhood and am resolutely bored to death. That’s why I need, heck … we all need you to continue to post. Can you handle that assignment? My sanity depends upon it. Besides, if you depart, Ally will go on and on about it until I too may leave. Mind you, if this old laptop gives up the ghost I will vanish anyway.
I heard that!

Technically, there are birds in my neighbour's back yard. But, let's not be too picky. The RTH was very vocal, and the blue jay took the great opportunity to minic, and it fooled me. I ran out only to find the bluejay singing on top of a roof, and I had no battery in the camera. The young cardinal, was practise singing too. I had some kinglets passing-by. But couldn't handle the tiny fast moving birds in low light.
See I used 'handle' in the post ??? ???

Your cardinal looks miserable. Who wouldn't be on a day like this.
