WC (juvenile) sparrow early this morning. It didn't discover the GAMF. Maybe next time.

Got to love these guys. Wonderful set of images.

Juncos discovered the GAMF quite some time ago, as did the chickadees, Blue jays and cardinals. House sparrows know everything, including the code to the garage door but they also know (now) not to abuse that knowledge. Anyway, the White-crowned (juvenile) sparrow has only recently discovered the GAMF as I was hoping it would before moving on. I took advantage of that situation with a few photos.

How far away were you? Do you still have both of your eyes?
-
3 - 4 maters
-
Great series of shots of the sparrows.
I was in Downsview Park on Sunday afternoon in search of any migrating hawks/golden eagles in the sky - surprisingly it was very quiet in that front but was made up by a kettling of 70+ Turkey Vultures in the sky and a large group of these sparrows on golden rod plants in the ground.

I have never seen Migrating hawks or eagles. I start to think it's just a legend.

I see what you've done there. Feigning incredulity about raptor migration and kettling of vultures just so someone will post photos to prove that the myth is a myth because it's true. Very clever of you my dear. I wish I'd have thought of it.
