Title: More Concrete Planned for Sam Smith Park

Those interested in the welfare of Sam Smith Park might be interested to know there is a public meeting tomorrow (Thursday) to present plans for a paved ice skating trail in the park.  You can find out more here. (http://www.ccfew.org/html/activities.html)

You can now view the plans on line (http://ccfew.org/html/proposed_skating_trail_at_sam_.html).  Comment forms can be downloaded from that page as well.

It appears unlikely that many trees will survive in that part of the park  :(

A request has been made to designate this project under the Environmental Assessment Act.  You can read the EA application and project background on the CCFEW website (http://www.ccfew.org).

We understand the Ministry is moving quickly with this file.  Letters of support to the Minister of the Environment would help!  You can find all the information on how to do that here (http://www.ccfew.org/html/what_s_up_-_the_blog.html#103008).
