Sigh....I wish I had the skill to pick owls out...I hear them around me but never see them. Great pix -- thanks for sharing them....

One of them was sitting on a branch right by the path. We had to enter the other side of the woods to avoid being too near him. He kept blinking though.

Yeah stuff like that never happens to me....I always have to go through a pilgrimage....like the year everyone (Napper esp.) was posting pix of snowy owls perched on traffic lights, 400 series highway signs, circus big tent tops, inside shopping malls....I had to traverse through endless snow covered fields....that's just my lot in life. Not really a bad problem as problems go. In fact, on reflection, I had fun on my pilgrimages.
