Title: Redbellied
Post by: Ally on January 25, 2022, 04:04:20 PM
The redhead of this bird really shines out when I was sitting by the window for my class. So I put on boots and took some shots during my 15 min break.

Lots of nuts of both kinds. Birds are happy today and they have a lot to say.

Red-bellied woodpecker indeed. What were they thinking when they named this tree hugger? I'm thinking Red-crowned woodpecker, or Blazing-orange-red-fishing lure neon crowned woodpecker. I recall once having had paint of this colour and using it to brighten-up an old wooden fishing lure that never caught a fish but looked cool in my tackle box, which serves more as a spectacle than a repository of functional and essential tackle. Man, those were the days, when I could get away with whipping out something cool.
Good of you to whip out your camera and photograph something cool. I'm hoping for an encore.
