Title: Courting peckers?

I just saw a group of 5-6 downies flying and playing together. Are they courting?

Very well it could be, it is Valentine's day after all. More likely scenario is jostling for territories for the upcoming breeding season.

They came back and fought a bit more. It's so cold, so I only got a few pics inside.
