Title: Shortie
Post by: Ally on February 18, 2022, 05:18:33 PM
I heard there were four one day. But I'm happy with any.

A short sortie to capture a shot of a shortie. That's just the right amount of sibilance, don't you think? Just like far-eastern cuisine needs at least three S's to make it sing ... shrimp, Sukiyake and soy sauce ... the three essential S's. That proclamation was made by an Italian so I can't take credit for it. What has all this to do with your co-operative shortie? Absolutely nothing! I heard a Screech owl again last night while the snow was coming down. I walked into the dark woods to investigate but then it stopped calling. Being in the woods, in the dark, while it's snowing is spooky. Yes, I wore rubber boots.

He turned around to look at me when I arrived and the sun happened to hit it's right eye. It's magical to watch through the lenz.

The Screech owl was just behind this tree, maybe 8 meters from the road.

You mean you did not find it?! How could you? Are you even the real shortsighted I know for several years but haven't met? ;D ;D ;D

Then there were three. Apparently one was attacked by a Red-tailed Hawk a few days ago and is now under the care of TWC. I wasn't there but I saw photos of the rescue. I hope it recovers well and released.

Wow! I've always thought the Shortie is bigger than a RTH. Well RTH has the home field advantage.

Yes, my daughter used to volunteer there when she was in high school.

I am seriously considering that. But 4 hours a week is a bit challenging since I am studying as well as working at the moment.
