Hey!
Spent the last few day down there again in Niagara.
Lots of Spring Migrants down there in Port Colborne.
Back in Milton tonight, I tried to get le dog to go outside at 12:00 am for her nightly thingy. She would not go, she would not budge!
I went out and was shocked to see an "Owl" fly over my front yard as I stepped out. Dunno what species it was but it was silent and large.
Dog went out and did her thing afterwards. I think the Dog sensed the Owl beforehand while inside the house.
Our 10 ish year old Border Collie actually rules our household and never stops us from being active/ moving.

Wow!! I had the great horned on my neighbour'd dead tree for a couple of nights before I realised it was one. That fledgling was calling its parent every night. Your dog saved your life!

No! the dog didn't save my life... ;)
She is getting older but still very aware of everything outdoors at all times. I think sleeps with one eye open at all times, that is what Border Collie"s do.
She is gonna be 12 and and still gets up to 3, 1 hour walks per day and then even more extensive running, chasing a frisbee..
Great dogs but you have to be willing to be trained by them. ::)
