Title: Bee Fly
Post by: dodo on May 08, 2022, 06:45:25 PM
I was beside the Don river under the Bloor viaduct looking at some dandelions when I spotted an unusual insect . I have never noticed one before. It was a fuzzy flying insect with a long probiscis. It is called a bee fly (Bombylius Major). It is supposed to be common to see them on dandelions in May.
