I think it was a Hermit Thrush, it was Raining at the time and quite miserable..Milton last week

Yes, I concur. The eye-ring is quite noticeable but the ruddy rump and tail are just not visible. A Swainson's has a buff-coloured eye-ring and a similar lore and would not have arrived yet. A Gray-cheeked does not have an eye-ring. A Veery also does not have an eye-ring. A Wood thrush is just too splendid to miss with its balloon-like chest spots.
