I saw a roadkill redheaded up near McKellar last weekend....sigh.....I've asked the township to erect a yellow caution woodpecker crossing sign on the road but the nice lady at the township just gave me a blank stare....so I'm not sure it's going to happen.

Is this a red-headed year?

I took this one in Scarborough last weekend.

Yes indeed.
Charlene, I presume this is taken near Guildwood Park in Scarborough, a pair has been nesting there since May. A great news. I was there on Canada day and saw the adult pair flying in and out of what is presumably their nest. The chicks might have fledged by now.
