I saw a deer in my mother's backyard....she lives in Port Credit....they have lived there since 1976 and in my years growing up there I never heard of a sighting....of course it is MUCH more built up...
I'll post the pix I snapped next week.....looks like a doe from June 2021....I'm hoping she isn't an accidental but that's probably the case....although I had asked my mom earlier if she had deer b/c well I saw signs in her garden.

Can't wait to see the photos!

Deer in my mother's backyard...Port Credit (Mississauga)...adjacent to Adamson Estate / Derry Residence park...June 29th at 6:30 a.m....I know there are deer all over Mississauga but we have never (since 1976) seen a deer in this area and it's considerable dense / built up now than in the 70's...80's...even 90's....heck even early 2000's....
I am guessing it's wandered in although I did notice evidence of deer grazing in my mother's garden earlier in the spring....I can't imagine a population establishing here...not enough habitat -- edge habitat at that....and there are coyotes....I'm guess it would be hard to keep fawns safe.

That looks like the owner of the house who is about to ask what you want for dinner :D
