Title: Red Breasted Nuthatches, Milton
Post by: Napper on November 08, 2022, 09:58:31 AM
I've noticed an increase in Red Nutties here in Milton over previous years. Very inquisitive little birds. I had one land on bush less than three feet from me. It appeared to be observing the seed pods on the Rose of Sharons.
The OFO winter finch report explained the increase in the numbers.

Spotted many Nuthatches of both varieties up North at the Beach in August and Sept.

What was the explanation?

I find red and whites at my feeders often concurrently.
