is this a yellow rumped? the picture is kinda of weak.

Yellow rumped looks right to me.

Yes. That's the male in breeding plumage.
(It looks like early spring judging from the catkin & lack of foliage.)

Yes it was early spring, around March 10-15th I think taken at Leslie Spit. I might be wrong but I think these guys are one of the first variety of warblers to arrive each year?
