I finally got out this week looking for this heron. It took 3 visits on 3 different days but it payed off in the end.
Got a few more to edit but here are 2 of my favs from the bunch!
ISO 200 F8 1/500 @400mm, Post done on Adobe CS curves adjustments, added more colour in the channel mixer and a tad of USM. First image is slightly cropped about 10%, second is cropped 30%

Very nice! I like how the colours of the heron stand out from all the green behind it.

Wow Tyger, where are you finding all these GBHs, I`ve never seen one in the wild. The biggest I`ve seen maybe an egret. The colours are amazing too. Ace.
