Title: Back at the Beach for a while.
Post by: Napper on June 19, 2023, 07:12:41 PM
Hey! We are trying to stay until September this year.Got here Last week and as usual lots of bird song  but birds are invisible in the tree tops. We certainly have a Gray Cat bird very close by and I tried to record an Eastern Wood Pewee today but it was too noisy out there. I did capture a mystery bird this afternoon it sounded similar to a Red Eyed Vireo but much louder. I'll have to go listen to Brown Thrasher sounds again.  This Thing sounded like a GC Flycatcher and a vireo.
There are House Wrens everywhere here. Very active and almost in your face.

I wasn't kidding when I said we had Catbirds. There seems to be a bunch of them around here.Lots of different types of Woodpeckers as well. Struggling to get a vid posted with sound from the other day.
