Yep......practically non-exsistant this year.

Last year, at dusk, I could see them emerge from the lawn by the hundreds for their evening meetings in the tree-tops.

(looked like a squadron of Hueys lifting off in Nam.......lol)

Lots of caterpillars this year though......wreaking havoc on the bushes and trees....... :x

yeah re: caterpillars....damn gypsy moths...and I live in an area where they don't spray for them...which brings me to...what is going to happen next year with respect to spraying? Apparently the active ingredient in the pesticide for cinch bugs -- chlorpyrifos -- is also the active ingredient in flea collars...and flea collars are more concentrated than the brand name cinch bug pesticides....

I'm as green as the next guy -- my driveway is littered with rhubarb leaves -- but I have just reseeded my lawn after an infestation of cinch bugs last year...I'm going to rely upon my bill for reseeding as my defence if I'm charged for spraying my lawn...you know, the price of a bag of grass seed is very nearly the current price of a barrel of crude oil? And there's more oil in a barrel than seed in a bag of grass seed.
