Could you please ID this for me, and tell me if he is a meat eater or he is after my rose?

Ziss ist eine Red-eyed grasshopper. They are omnivores and will eat whatever is available but they do avoid certain garden flowers but roses is not one of them. They could eat roses if they have a mind to. If you play AC/DC really loud it might deter them.
