Went for the hummer, and got absolutely nothing else. I didn't walk much though to be fair.

Those are cool shots of grooming or feather splaying from behind.  Haven't seen that.

Did a nice job with the hummers. Good angles and sharp outlines.

Did a nice job with the hummers. Good angles and sharp outlines.
Thanks, do you think that was juvi male? Only one red spot on the throat.

yes, young male..... you can also tell by his behavior, if you noticed the female and adult male with the full red neck, if he is still around, go to the same 2-3 flowers but young ones go to all flowers, haven't figure out the best ones for food yet.  as well the younger ones don't  have as good developed flight abilities/strengths  and tend to want to perch or sit on the flowers to fed,  while the adults  fly in hover, eat and zoom out

Wow, so much to learn. I think I only saw one today, who kept coming back to the firecrackers. He did taste almost all the flowers.

Love the shots. I haven't seen any hummers this year.
