Title: Humming Bird, Tiny Township. Sept 10th ?
Post by: Napper on September 10, 2023, 02:47:52 PM
Been back at the beach for a few days and today was the first time I have seen a Hummingbird at the flowers in the yard. The feeder is still busy off and on with Chickadees and two WB Nuthatches.  Nuthatches are not camera friendly! Pull camera out and they disappear. Too Cloudy to attempt a image of the hummer.
Napper @ the beach :)

I find that nuthatches are not too timid of photographers but they sure can move quickly. I tried to photograph a spider today with a body pattern that glimmered in the late-afternoon light and thereby resembled a piece of jewellery. Never seen anything like it. That spider would crawl at a fair clip when I had the camera pointed on it and then stop only when I pulled the camera away. As soon as I raised the camera again it would take off at maximum impulse power. Wore me out.
