Title: Black and Yellow Crowned Night Herons
Post by: Charline on September 23, 2023, 11:38:45 AM
This black-crowned NH caught a little white thing in the pond and spit it out  This was what it did afterwards. Was it totally grossed out?

This video shows  what the yellow-crowned NH did before taking off for dinner.

Hope you don't mind my silly musings.  ;D It was hard to film and talk at the same time.

Your ambition is trumped by your patience. First zodiacal light, the stuff of fairy dust, and now a stake-out that Sir David would be proud of. Your whisper voice is very calming.

Thank you, Mr. Scopy! It's very embarrassing for a very mature woman to have an immature voice.  :-[

I will later upload another photo to show the white stuff that the BCNH caught and spit out.

Do you know what it caught?

Lottery ticket?  Parking ticket?  FHP?  Influenza?  Day pass to Heron Casino?  Fishing lure?  Piece of cigarette package?  Piece of sign ... "Do Not Feed the Herons"?  Torn piece of sheet music from the nineteenth century?  Wait, you're not teasing, are you? You don't actually know, do you? Or, you do know and this is a test. It's not a test, is it?

LOL, are you seeking your weekend entertainment through your scope??

My short scope is a tool and as such offers a means to entertainment of sorts. I use my brain for entertainment. I will be lost when I lose it, but then that's the point of dementia, because then all roads lead to nowhere. Nowhere is not a bad place to be since it places no demands on the traveller and all metrics dissolve and dissipate into maximum entropy ... the end of all things. Even then, though, there will still be trolls, taxes and traffic.
