Title: Carden Alvar

Is the area still decent for birding activity this far into the summer? I haven't been there, but would love to check it out sometime. From what I have read, it should be pretty good for photography?

Last year, we went on July 1st, and I actually found it better than going in June this year.

The wildflowers will be gone (last week of June is best), but the birds are often found right next to the road. You can get very good shots of Upland Sandpipers and Snipe if you use the card as a blind. They like to sit right on the fence posts later in the day.
