It's nice finding old photos and stuff in general that you haven't seen in ages. For a split second you feel as young as you were then. Unfortunately it doesn't last. At first, 2008 doesn't seem that long ago and then you realize the time line ... 16 years ago! I was just a kid with a dream, to paraphrase Leonard Cohen.

Coopers have not been around in my area in the midtown Toronto in the past few years. Red-tailed hawks are back. Yesterday I discovered a new nest. Not sure if it's active though.


I was photographing this RTH in flight high in the sky. Then it landed right in front of me. Was it checking what I was doing?
