Title: Norther Flicker, Milton
Post by: Napper on April 25, 2024, 07:08:40 PM
I didn't mention that I spotted a Northern flicker while driving over the main creek here in Milton because I see them all the time up at the cottage. However today there has been one hanging around under the feeder in our backyard which is somewhat unusual. 7pm getting darker and harder to image. Will share later.
Off to the beach Friday to open up, do some work and maybe some  birding stuff.

.......Don't expect to see much up at the beach. It will be -4C overnight tonight.

I'll put a feeder up, change tires, heat up the house and head home in the rain Saturday.

Weather has not co-operated again this year , last year freezing temps at night into June did't help

Look on the bright side, myte. No tsunami, no immediate forest fire threat, no flooding, no sandstorm, no earthquake, no mudslides, no missile attacks or drone attacks, no Ebola, no Dengue fever, no Trump fever, no insurrection or rebellion, no conscription, no urgent residential development of the Green Belt, and no immediate election promises that are completely forgotten even before the phantom power to the microphone is turned off. I think we have it pretty good, don't you?
