Title: Great Egret
Post by: Joe on July 08, 2008, 11:36:04 AM
I have seen a Great Egret each of the last 2 days in the Humber River just south of Dundas.  I believe the little road which hugs the river is called Old Dundas.  Nice little drive.  I saw a couple of Spotted Sandpipers there the other day and tons of the usuals.

I've come across as many as 8 Great Ergrets at one time in the Dufferin Marsh Conservation area near the nuke plant in Pickering.  There are usually a couple of Great Blue Herons wading around also.

And almost always a few in High Park and on the sunnyside waterfront near the mouth of the Humber... wonderful sight!
