As everyone knows, ceramic tile, or clay tile can serve as a substrate for fungal growth. Well, I discovered a line of amber-coloured fungus growing on a log in the Rouge and therefore I took a photo of it. That got me thinking about fungi in general, including tile fungus. I therefore used some digital filters to create some tile fungus by transforming the log fungus into a rendered print and then shaping the print into a tile pattern. Voila, the outline of fungal fruiting bodies as a motif for a tiled wall accent. A different kind of tile fungus for sure. Put this ins your tiled shower and you might not even see the real fungus on the grout. I always say there's nothing like a good distraction.
