It's getting cold again but not cold enough to be interesting for me.

I went to Harbourfront on a -10C  day. One pigeon was "attending" another lying on the path. I went over to find out what was wrong. The pigeon on the ground was bloody.

I didn't know what to do with the bird, but picked it up and moved it to a warmer and sheltered location.

Apparently, I lost my smartphone and had to return to look for it. Thankfully, my phone was still there.

The "attending" bird was still around and searching for the removed pigeon. But it was not a pigeon. It was a bird of the size of a pigeon. Could it be a Merlin?
