I was out front retrieving things from my vehicle when I heard the distinctive sound of a Merlin call then another but closer.
I watch looking to the tree across the street when a Merlin flew over screaming away then another call from across the street.
I have seen Merlin's in Milton before but it is very rare especially in our subdivision.
My wife was out walking the dog with a friend from down the street earlier when a discussion came up about Bald Eagle sightings in Milton. Our friend said that a local community FB group were reporting that Eagles have been spotted recently in our area called Timberlea.
Napper :) I don't use FB, TT , X or instascam

A friend of mine who live in Milton was doing that nite walk a couple of weeks ago. She said a couple of Bald Eagles went over near dusk as they were starting the walk. Have seen a couple here is southwest Caledon back in February. Great to hear and see the Merlins. There was some who nested in our area the last couple of years.
Let the spring birding begin!!!!!
