Just an amazing morning watching two kingfishers work the duck ponds near the "castle" playground. [Thanks to the English guy for drawing our attention to them.] If you want to get 10 feet from a GBH that's your place. One is now "tame" and sits on the wall and rocks just feet from passersby. Also, 3 or 4 Great Egrets are working the wall at the Humber / Gzowski park breakwall along with Blue Herons, and Night Herons every evening.

Hello, I am new to birdwatching and just wonder where in high park is this "castle" playground? ( is that the advanture playground near parkside drive?) if I come from bloor street entrance, is it towards south near restaurant? Thanks :D
My husband also love taking photos for bird as well. Will post some photos in the photography section later on.

Welcome to the forum. Castle Playground / Adventure Playground... same thing. Centre Rd. which is east of the restaurant entrance will take you down there.

Hello joe, Thank you so much, I will drop by today in the evening :D
add on:
We (me and my husband) went to the park at around 5:30pm, the GBH is there and showing off himelf (I believe it's immature "him" because of the feather project from the head. It's a position that open half of it's wing but tuck in to the back and enjoying the sun. We also meet another photographer as well and he tell us a bit about where to go bird watching. Want to say a big THANK YOU ^_^
We were walking down south to the lower duck pond and meanwhile we sopt something fly back and landed in the bushes, so we went back up again and spotted a NCBH. Then about 7:15pm we head down to Gzowski Park and spotted 2 more GBH and 3 more Egrets.
We were having lots of fun ^_^ :D
