This poor guy hit my window this afternoon and I'm not sure what it is. It looks a bit like a warbler but I'm not sure what type:

On a related note, does anyone have any suggestions to prevent birds from hitting the window? I was hoping once I got my curtains up it would help but about once a month I get a little guy who hits the glass. Usually it's a sparrow that just bounces off and keeps flying but I've had two stun themselves. Do the hawk silhouettes work at all? Sorry, this is probably the wrong forum for this but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Nashville?

I have a hawk sihouette in my patio doors and since putting it up I have not had any birds flying into the doors. Before that I was getting a bird every once in awhile. I have also heard, but have not tried that hanging used CDs or DVDs would help stop the impacts.

Thanks! I wasn't sure if a Nashville Warbler got up this far (my family is still mocking me because I thought I saw a Tennessee Warbler a few weeks ago).
I'll definitely try the hawk silhouettes to see if they stop the window hits.
Thanks again!

Tennessee Warblers are found around these parts.
