Title: Centennial Park Toronto Bird And Mammal Sightings
Post by: KP on October 22, 2008, 08:52:38 PM
I went to Centennial Park today.  I observed:
Canada Geese
Mallard Ducks
Red Winged Black Birds
Black Capped Chickadees
American Robins
Northern Cardinal
1 Great Blue Heron
1 Eastern Chipmunk
Numerous Eastern Grey Squirrels both Grey and Black Phased
1 Common Raccoon sleeping up high in a tree
Over half a dozen Eastern Cottontail Rabbits
I did further research on the Downy Woodpecker and the Hairy Woodpecker.  The type of Woodpecker I saw had the larger size like a Hairy Woodpecker but the call was more like a Downy Woodpecker.
