Title: Another confusing fall warbler...
Post by: bernie2112 on October 30, 2008, 10:02:28 PM
Greetings!
We saw this one at Hanlon's recently. I have my suspicions but would appreciate any feed back.

This definitely looks like an Orange-crowned Warbler to me.

It has that general greenish-brown wash, even in the wings.  Shows a hint of a lighter supercilium, and the broken eye ring that Nashville does not show.  Also, the point against Nashville is the lack of yellow wash (or any hint thereof) in the belly.

I can be wrong, I'm no expert, but this is my opinion.
