Title: NO Hawk owl on the spit Nov 10 08

it was just reported on ONTBIRDS that the Hawk owl was not found out on the Spit this moring  :(

I was down this morning 9amish till just after noon and concur,no Hawk Owl seen in Sunday location. Others searched the base of The Spit with no luck. Someone had been out on The Spit and said there was no sign of it out there either. While I was disappointed,I was glad several friends saw their first Hawk Owl on Sunday. Its great that a new species was added to The Spit List...(note monitors I said SPIT).
