Hi everybody,
this Monday afternoon, I visited the Humber Bay Park. I was delighted to find the male HARLEQUIN DUCK which has been previously reported. The bird was sitting on the rocks and was really cooperative. After a few minutes I realised that it was accompanied by a female. Both birds performed really well, they were mostly close to the shore at the tip.
Also several hundreds of Long-tailed Ducks around.
Apparently a coyote has been observed in the area lately.
Cheers
Mathieu

I saw the pair harlequins at the tip of humber bay east near the little sandy beach yesterday! There was also a good number of common mergansers, one ruddy duck, lots of long-tailed ducks, buffleheads, gadwalls, hooded mergansers and some common golden eyes and red heads in humber bay west.
