Here's a couple photos of the Northern Hawk Owl and Boreal Owl from Sunday, what 2 great birds in 1 place :)
You just never know what will see there ,is hands down my fav winter birding spot in Ontario.
Can't wait to see what else i will see over the new few months there.

Nice pics, and I agree, 2 great birds. The hawk owl looks nice in the snowy tree.

Andrew those are stunning photos. I have only been there once, and I think it was with you if I remember correctly. Those are great birds to spot!
Hope all is well.

Sounds about right Lea, glad you like the photos
I'll be down there alot this winter, always like looking for owls and other birds there, can be so productive for such an urban area.
i'll keep an eye out for you :)

Hi again Andrew:
Have a great winter of birding. Ross and I are here in Smithville with our son for the winter months. We sold our home, and are awaiting a new home to be built in Port Rowan. I can't wait to get there and enjoy the bird action in that area.
Ross retires the end of this month, so hopefully we'll both see you at the Spit.
