Title: New York City birding/bookstores

I'm going to be in NYC for a few days next week. Does anyone know of a good bookstore for field guides? I'm looking for the equivalent of Open Air in Toronto with lots of international field guides.
Also, any thoughts on birding in Central Park would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would suggest that you look up "Jamaica Bay" as well.

Thanks for the response. I found an Owl Prowl in Pelham Bay Park, Bronx scheduled for next Sunday morning. If I get there I'll post the results.
