I stopped by to see the Avocet this morning as well. My first sighting of one of these.

Nice flight shots. That's a really tough bird to shot in contrasty light.

Nice pics.  I've never seen an avocet before.  Its sure a neat looking bird, especially in flight. Like the pics of the merlins too.
