Title: Blue Jays and peanuts
Post by: Kin Lau on November 21, 2008, 07:25:46 PM
A spinoff from our discussion of Blue Jays in the GTA. The BJ's @ Cranberry are very bold and will take peanuts right out of your hand.

It's in Whitby.  Cranberry Marsh is the western section of the Lynde Shores Conservation Area.  Take the 401 east from Toronto to Salem and turn south.  Proceed to Bayly and continue east on Bayly until you get to Whitby (you had been in Ajax).  The first road south (immediately after the sod farm and nursery) is Halls Rd.  About a kilometre or so south there is a small widening of the road to allow for parking and access to the "north platform".  A few hundred metres south of that there is another parking area for the "south platform".  The jays are used to coming to the south platform.
