Hey
This afternoon around 3:50 pm while riding home.. A very dark breasted and bellied hawk with Very dark Underwing coverts and light coloured
undersides to the primaries and secondaries..flew over the car.
It flew from a hydro pole near 8th line, West of 9th line along Eglington Mississauga/Milton border.
I figure it is either a dark/western Redtail or a dark Rough leg hawk.. It flew over the car at about 20 feet altitude..
Note: There are many Eastern Redtails in this area . There was one at Trafalgar and Eglington less than 1 km from the dark bird..

I saw a dark morph rough legged hawk last week. It was neat to watch as it remained stationary by flying into the wind. It was the second time I've seen a dark morph one.

Yesterday while driving on the 407, I counted 8 hawks perched from Trafalger to Pine Valley. They were out in full force.

Hey :D
Went looking for hawks today
I found many! unfortunately they were all Redtails. I did come across 2 groups of Robins. First at Eight line and Eglington ave. Milton.
Then a large group in a field, Lower base line between 5th and 4th line Milton.. To my surprise a Northern Mockingbird along 4th line near Britannia rd.
