What was to be our back yard count for the Whitby / Oshawa bird count has turned in to
A Gerry Bennet back yard BIG SIT with the cancellation on the W/OBC do to whether to day .
So then in 9.5 hours Bev and I saw 21 species Totaling 112 birds from the back yard .
Some Highlights wear SS Hawk 1, Coopers Hawk 1 (juv.) Northern Shrike 1 (juv. and a new yard bird ) BH Cowbird 1, R B Nuthatch 1 .
What a great fun way to spend a day

P/S Whitby is found just east of Toronto and west of Oshawa and is knowin to have some of the best winter birding in Ont ... ( ill hear it for saying that :lol: )

8am-5:30pm = 9.5 hr
