Title: Black backed gull and others at Leslie Street Spit...
Post by: bernie2112 on December 29, 2008, 10:23:46 PM
Greetings!
It was a lovely day for a walk along the Spit. In the wetlands to the right of the gate we saw a very cooperative American Kestrel and further in we saw Chickadees, Tree Sparrows, and a Northern Shrike chasing some Snow Buntings. The Snowy did a fly by and in the distance a Black Backed Gull.

It is very wet and the ice is weak so waterproof boots are necessary.

Cheers,

Bernie Monette
