Title: Flurry at the feeder
Post by: jjmb on January 11, 2009, 08:06:30 PM
I have been lamenting how quiet my feeders have been this winter. Sometimes not much more than house sparrows.

This morning, it started with 4 cardinals just as it got lighter, then a downy, then chickadees, siskins and gold finches, a white throated sparrow, a few juncos, then the usual swarm of housesparrows. All of these species were in view at the same time for a few minutes. What a nice way to wake up on a winter morning!

But before you knew it, they dispersed. Oh well.
