I had a Snowy pass overhead and land on top of the water treatment building at 23rd St. and Ramsgate Rd. this morning.
He arrived in the direction from Sam Smith Park.
I wondered if the bird had been attracted by the movement of the small dog I was walkng at the time.

My son has been seeing a snowy owl for quite sometime on his way to work in the mornings. He sits on top of a hotel in the hwy 10 and britannia area in Mississauga. He got some pictures however they're not very good. We need to get out there with a better camera.

My son just came home and told me he saw another Snowy Owl sitting on top of a lamp post near Hwy 10 and the 401west bound ramp. He spotted it at about 4:15 today

Cool!!
That would xplain the traffic jam at 401 and hwy 10 today, Birders (sigh) the nerve :P
We usually pass there every day on the way home .. We had to use an alternative today. It figures (sigh)
will keep look out.
Napper :D

Umm I'm pretty sure the traffic jam was caused by the snow but my son did say people were honking at him but he didn't care... people need to slow down and enjoy the beauty that surrounds us, however, rushhour isn't always the best time to expect that.
Keep a look out on your travels and good luck I hope you spot him.

After several drive bys over the last couple weeks, I finally spotted the snowy.
Sitting on top of the Kheune and Nagel building on Edwards (Hurontario and World Drive).
It was sitting back from the ledge so I didn't get any great pictures but I got a couple which I'll post up shortly.
