Hi all,
3 Great Horned Owls today and maybe a fourth one on the Leslie Spit as noted by Iain yesterday, same Rough-legged Hawk and probably same 2 Red-tailed Hawk too. In addition, there was also a young Snowy Owl sitting on the frozen lake on the centre of the spit (although it flew later). Also, 2 Red-necked grebes at Lighthouse point along with White-winged Scoters. Among the most notable ducks, I saw a couple of Common Mergansers and a lone Black Duck.
Very few passerines, although a nice flock of approximately 30 Common Redpolls was welcome (no hoary though).
A nice yet cold and windy day out there.
good birding
