Title: Humber College parking

We stopped at Humber for a few minutes on our way home from the airport and since it was before 2:30pm I was told it would cost $7 to park if we wanted to stay, which we didn't. I thought I could get a pass for P1 anytime but that's not the impression I got from the parking lot attendant. Can those of you who've been there clear things up for me - thanks.

Great shots Photoman, btw!

You can park for free on the weekends, there is no attendent at the gate.

The Web site for the Arboretum says that you just have to get a pass from the kiosk: "PARKING: Parking is free. Obtain an Arboretum pass at the parking kiosk and proceed to parking lot 1." http://www.humberarboretum.on.ca/inform.htm (http://www.humberarboretum.on.ca/inform.htm)

However, parking is a big problem at the College and they may have changed the rules. Did you go to the main parking kiosk or the one at entrance B?

Cheers,

Bernie

I entered at "A" and because we weren't planning to park the attendant let us in anyway. We spoke to a student (one of the 'arborists') who told me he had seen the owl but the light was fading and I didn't have my DSLR with me so we left but I may try again next week. Have you been there during the summer? I'm a butterfly fanatic and I understand the gardens are really beautiful (and crowded!) during July and Aug.

Bernie

I enterd at the first driveway(left) when I turned into Humber College Blvd from Hwy 27. Follow it all the way down pass the gatehouse, the Arboretum is on your left after the road bends to the right and there is parking for 3-4 cars.
Good Luck

Thanks Raven

The birds where behind the Arboretum Building, they have feeders set up there, the action has died down in the past few weeks, I went there last weekend and there were only chickadees and juncos. I find that after a snow fall, lots of bird come in to feed.
